EXIN has concluded an important step in the IT Service Management according to ISO/ IEC 20000 Qualification Program, the global certification program that the institute brought to Brazil.
In August, 20 professionals participated in the TTT workshop (Train-the-Trainer) and 16 were certified in advanced levels of the ISO/IEC 20000 qualification program after just a little more than 2 days of training with Marc Taillefer, an international consultant invited by EXIN Brazil to deliver the training.
According to Taillefer, this was a good opportunity for professionals to “take another look” at ISO / IEC 20000 and its applicability for projects designed to bring rapid and sustainable improvements. "The maturity is above average. I found high level professionals, very receptive, determined, willing to learn, share experiences and open to hearing new ideas and implement them in the Brazilian context; it shows that professionals understand the benefits that organizations in Brazil - IT or other vertical - may achieve with the ISO 20000," he said.
EXIN trainers now ready for increasing ISO/IEC 20000 demandThe professionals were trained and took exams in two categories: ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation and the ISO/IEC 20000 PM&I - Professional Management and Improvement, both available in Portuguese since September. Throughout 2010, new modules will continue to be translated into Portuguese and several are already available at testing centers worldwide.
According to Milena Andrade, Regional Manager EXIN Brazil, the TTT workshop will enter into the second stage in November, this time for candidates and organizations interested in qualifying their professionals in the program. EXIN training providers that already have accredited materials and certified instructors are preparing a major launch with discounts of up to 30% for the first 500 students who seek certification. "It is a joint effort by the EXIN and accredited training providers to disseminate the training program and its benefits," Andrade said.
